Time flies when you're having fun! We're already past our mid-season point and are looking forward to another exciting six weeks.
This season started a bit slower than usual, but once June arrived with warmer weather, visitors from around the world started rolling in. We've seen all kinds of guests at the Basecamp this summer: motorcycle enthusiasts heading to Prudhoe Bay or even further south to South America, adventurers preparing for wilderness expeditions, road-trippers and van lifers exploring Alaska, local visitors, and cyclists attempting the ultimate journey to Tierra del Fuego.
I wish I had kept a detailed diary throughout the season, but fortunately our guest book provides great memories of the diverse travelers who pass through our doors during winter reflection time.
I want to give special recognition to our incredible 2025 team—Theo, Zorissa, Tanja, and Mark—who have not only maintained the property beautifully but also made significant improvements to our cabins, making guests more comfortable than ever before. Most importantly, they connect with every guest with genuine love and passion, which is what makes Sven's Basecamp truly special.
